Since October of last year, the Democratic Memory Law, also known as the Grandchildren Law, has been in effect in Spain. This law provides Chileans who are descendants of Spaniards the opportunity to process the nationality of that country without having to reside for a minimum period in Europe. The procedure can be carried out, even from Chile.
