Tomás is a former Professor at the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Uruguay (UCUDAL) and currently a Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Montevideo.

Former member of the Chamber of the National Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation (CNCS) and the American Economic Association.

He is currently the Academic Director of the Gervasio de Posadas Belgrano Chair of Law and Liberty at the University of Montevideo and also serves as a member of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Uruguay.

Expert in labor and commercial law, with extensive experience advising national and international companies.
